The Mockingbird in Me is my new haven — a place where I could be who I really am expressing myself in the freest possibility. According to my favorite book, it’s a sin to kill a mockingbird as “They don’t do one thing but make music for us to enjoy . . . they sing their hearts out for us.”  Like people, I think that mockingbirds have inner thoughts, too. They may appear meek and gentle externally, but I’m sure they too have their own insights, comments, and stories to tell.  If given a chance to speak, I believe they would tell us what they think of us and how we are living the very mystery that is LIFE. So in this haven I created, I am going to be that mockingbird that wants to tell the truth.

I won’t be giving you much about me here though. You’ll know me more through my posts.

Hope you’ll find something useful here at TMiM. Welcome to my world!

– Jake 🙂

Hi, Anne! Thank you so much for your kind words and for visiting me here at TMiM. It’s really an honor and a blessing to have been visited by you. I have high respect for people like you who have stood their ground in raising God’s banner. Know that I am with you and Ron in spreading the good news of our Father in heaven and doing great things for His greater glory. I am though at the stage of returning back at the moment. I have been away to look for answers to questions that have pushed me away from loving Him completely. I’m finding it hard to regain how it was before, but I’m trying and praying. You will see this recurring motif in my blog posts. I’d like to believe that we have a God who loves us unconditionally, a Father who will take me for who I am and bless me and cleanse me from my unworthiness. I use to write about my faith here: http://tuningfork181984.blogspot.co.nz/. One day, I should be able to write for Him again. Thanks again. With lots of love, Jake.

Thank you Jack for your Loving reply , it would take a lot of detail to share how I fell into sin but like you not away , I never rejected Jesus, I will leave a link below for you.

God never stops Loving us even if we get trapped in a worldly focus, which leads to fleshy actions and yes we have both done this and many others have too but like the Prodigal son we have both come to our senses and repented and Wow what a welcome home!

Why don’t you feel it like you did before, your feeling guilty and Satan is making sure you do but you are forgiven Jack, you always were, now move forward , step out in faith and tell the world just how much you are Loved. Seek ask and knock and the door will be opened to your completeness, ask for The Holy Spirit and God’s wisdom and than you will know without a doubt, just how much you are Loved by God.

        Rescued – http://freedomborn.wordpress.com/2013/05/25/jesus-rescued-his-lost-sheep/

I will visit your old Blog soon Jack, thank you again, I knew you were special, no it was not your message, although I could see you were sincere but I felt it in my heart. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Christian Love from both of us – Anne

Allow me to rewrite here what I’ve written in your ‘About Page’ —

A very touching and beautifully penned ‘About Page’, Kabayan! Your story reminds me so much of me and everything that I’ve gone through in life. It’s indeed tough to be in the shoes of a Filipino, but it’s nonetheless colorful, inspiring, and most of the time rewarding in the end. I salute you for having so much courage to share some of the deepest outskirts of your life. Such actions speak volumes about you as a father to your family. Mabuhay kayo! And thank you for following me at TMiM!

Aloha Jake! I’ve been enjoying your posts. Being a retired teacher, I remember the weekends of lesson plans and every night routine of correcting math and reading through all of my students’ written work. You’re a great writer and singer, too! I always had an ukulele and guitar in school. When I retired some students said they didn’t remember much except the fun we had singing together! Thanks for the Follow! So you’re my viewer from Niue!!! God bless you!

Oh my, such lovely praises. Thank you so much po (I’m sure you know what ‘po’ means.). Your presence here is an honor. And I agree, the content usually will be forgotten although it can be remembered later on, but the good memories and especially the values they learn from us will be treasured. Thanks again. Hello! Thank you for reading my blog and deciding to follow! It means a great deal to me that with all the choices of things to read, you chose my blog. As I read “about” you and your most recent post, this scripture came to mine “For freedom Christ has set us free” (Gal 5:1). I look forward to the revelations God has for you as you discover and walk out your freedom.

I so love it when God speaks to me through His people… I’m guessing you are one of them. I haven’t been strongly in touch with Him as before, and he keeps on reminding me that I am one of His. Thank you for your kind words. You just made me cry. Read some of your posts yesterday — made me smile. Will make responses soon.
